Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
Traynrs ("Traynrs," "we," "our," or "us") operates the website traynrs.com and the Traynrs mobile application (collectively, the "Platform"). Traynrs is a discovery and matching platform that connects fitness studios with independent instructors. We are not an employer or staffing agency.

2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), and account type (studio or instructor).
- Phone number: collected during account creation and used to send SMS notifications you have opted into (see Section 4).
- Profile information: for instructors — certifications, teaching styles, availability, bio, photo, and optional video. For studios — studio name, logo, location, and class schedule.
- Location data: city, state, and approximate coordinates used to match instructors with nearby studios. We do not track your real-time location in the background.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, and actions taken on the Platform (e.g., sub alerts posted, applications submitted).
- Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and push notification token.
- Communications: messages sent through the in-app messaging system.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To match instructors with studio sub alert requests and job listings.
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, booking confirmations).
- To send SMS notifications you have opted into (see Section 4).
- To display instructor profiles and studio listings on the Platform.
- To process subscription billing (studios).
- To improve the Platform through aggregate, anonymized analytics.
- To investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, or no-show violations.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. SMS Notifications — Opt-In, Opt-Out & Message Frequency
By providing your phone number during account creation, you consent to receive SMS text messages from Traynrs. These messages include time-sensitive sub alert notifications and booking confirmations.
- Message frequency: Varies based on platform activity. Instructors may receive multiple messages per day during active periods. Studios receive confirmations and alerts.
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
- To opt out: Reply STOP to any SMS message at any time. You will receive a confirmation and no further SMS messages will be sent. You can re-enable SMS in your account settings.
- For help: Reply HELP to any SMS message or email legal@traynrs.com.
- Opting out of SMS does not delete your account. You will continue to receive in-app and email notifications.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Between users on the Platform: Instructor profiles (name, photo, styles, rating, distance) are visible to subscribed studios. Studio profiles are visible to instructors. Pay rates are only visible to subscribed studios.
- Twilio: We use Twilio to deliver SMS messages. Your phone number is transmitted to Twilio solely for message delivery. Twilio's privacy policy is available at twilio.com/legal/privacy.
- Supabase: Our database and authentication infrastructure. Your data is stored on Supabase's servers.
- Vercel: Our web hosting provider. Web traffic passes through Vercel's infrastructure.
- Stripe: Payment processing for studio subscriptions. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe handles all payment data per PCI DSS standards.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes, preventing fraud).
Aggregated, anonymized data (e.g., booking statistics) may be retained indefinitely.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Opt-out of SMS: Reply STOP to any SMS or update your notification preferences in account settings.
California residents have additional rights under CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and row-level security on our database. No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at legal@traynrs.com.
9. Children's Privacy
Traynrs is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Platform. Continued use of Traynrs after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
